Should I get a 3ds or an iPod touch 5g when it comes out?

I have a dsi with 3 games I got it a few months after launch. And I also have a iPod touch 3g got it a year ago. So should I get the 3ds or 5g? If I get the 3ds I might not get any games but I may start to work so idk. And if I get the 5g I can just jailbreak it. Idk what to do, should I sell my dsi?
