What do you think about jailbreak?? Why doesn't Apple ban it?

After jailbreak you will have the ability to install third party applications that Apple doesn’t or wouldn’t approve in the App Store. But is that really good for users?? And why Jobs just sits back and let the hacks release redsnow??
